The Screen was designed using Anyrail and is a “morphed” interpretation of the track design, converting the oval to a lateral representation, scaled to 1:6. The resultant .jpg file was sent to the printers and printed on the reverse face of the Acetate sheet. At the same time the button and Led mounting board was printed to form a backer (Foamex) to mount the electronic items. The advantage of this is that ID’s for each component is printed on the backer for identification when wiring. Though Foamex is flexible it is very workable with a sharp knife. Measures were taken to support the the Foamex backer board. Megapoints electronic modules mounted on a hinged board above the Foamex backer. 6 screens mounted in the backer.

   Despatch and Notify System

To  overcome communication problems in a noisy environment

when the  Supervisor is separated from The Yardmaster

1. Supervisor can request specific Loco’s plus freight to be prepared ready for despatch onto the main  lines.
2. The Supervisor can Notify arrivals in the Yard, or Yard Shunt to the yardmaster
